Move over, sports fans, your Super Bowl is over. This Sunday is the Academy Awards, or as we fashion people like to call it, the Super Bowl of style. The viewing party may be slightly different—fancier cheese, etc.—but replace the word "fumble" with "poorly placed darts" and the shouting at the television is basically the same.
For those that want to level-up their fashion appreciation, Brunch & Slay is hosting an Oscars Meet Art night on Sunday at Dolce Delights with renowned fashion illustrator Rongrong Devoe. Starting at 4 p.m., attendees will mingle over drinks, snacks and desserts from Dolce Delights' Candice Chang before Devoe — who has worked with InStyle, Vogue, Reese Witherspoon and Victoria Beckham — will show the class how she uses sketching and watercolor to create stylized yet realistic depictions of fashion, with everyone trying it out live as the A-listers start hitting the red carpet.
Tickets are $60 and the event limited to 16 people to keep the experience intimate. All supplies will be provided, including stencils, so there's no artistic expertise needed. Whatever Natalie Portman ends up wearing should provide all the style inspiration you need.
