I am usually "traveling" my little black dress or black tuxedo jacket and showing many different ways to style these basic wardrobe pieces. This time, however, I wanted to mix it up, so I picked out one of my favorite slip dresses. Most of us girls think a slip dress is only meant as lingerie, but it can be super cute out on the town. It's the perfect piece to bring a so-hot-right-now '90s vibe into your wardrobe, and you probably already have one in your top drawer.

My first look has an edgy vibe that is perfect for clubbing or going to a concert. I took a graphic band t-shirt and accessorized it with lots of "heavy metal" necklaces. Some over-the-knee socks, silver booties, gloves and a cute black cap make this slip dress ready to rock.

Most of us girls love a colorful preppy look, so I immediately thought of this sweater by J.Crew. I layered a collared blouse and black bow tie scarf to add a classic flair, but kept it flirty with the pink tights and headband.

I love to go to nice parties and dinners, so for this look I wanted to dress things up. I added a black lace blouse, chandelier earrings, embellished necklaces, evening shoes and a fascinator for evening glamour.
