We've got your back when it comes to fall fashion. Neiman Marcus invited us to their seasonal “Must Haves” breakfast, where Houston’s trendiest fashion bloggers get a sneak peek at the upcoming season’s biggest trends.

Statement earrings are here to stay.

The colorful tassel trend will carry over from spring and summer’s past into the cooler days of fall. These clip-on Saint Laurent tassels retail at $595, but if you’re looking to get the same look for less, try these.

Women’s modern suiting is adding a whole new meaning to “like a boss.”

A good black blazer will never go out of style, but quit boring yourself. Kick it up a notch with bold blazers like this Veronica Beard tailored jacket. Let your people know you mean business.

Velvet shoes, jackets, and bags, oh my!

Expect to see everything velvet this fall. These shoes from Aquazzura are our obsession, and according to the bloggers I sat with at breakfast, they’re comfortable too. Steve Madden's fall line also has a handle on the velvet trend. Check out these pumps for a similar look without the sky-high price tag.

The covered leg

Well, yeah, last time I checked even Houstonians cover their legs in the winter. But this trend goes further. Thigh-high boots are back and better than ever—and with sock-like snugness. The jury's still out on how to get beauties like these pulled up all the way over your knees, though.

Reds. Lots and lots of reds.

Don't be afraid to mix and match different hues of red this fall—or let this top do the layering for you. Neiman Marcus suggests going even further by adding red accessories to complete the look. Snag a bag or earrings in the same hue—or a completely different one. Either way, your look will be on point for fall.
