If you've recently gone full Marie Kondo on your closet, you're not alone. And if you've determined that former prom/bridesmaid/insert-formal-event-here dress does not, in fact, spark joy? The Junior League of The Woodlands will gladly take it off your hands.

In partnership with The Giving Gown Foundation, the women's organization hopes to collect 1,700 gowns for local junior and senior high-schoolers who need them—because everyone should have to endure get to go to their prom.

Through March 15, you can bring new or like-new formal wear that no longer serves you to various drop-off sites around the greater Houston area—find the full list of locations here—as well as shoes, accessories, and toiletries including soap, lotion, shampoo, and hair, makeup, nail, and feminine hygiene products.

From March 27-30, volunteers from the Junior League's provisional class will transform into fairy godmothers and outfit prom-goers with their dresses and accessories. The teens will also work on self-esteem in an empowerment workshop, which they'll leave with a swag bag of goodies.
