It's that time of year again when work-week holiday parties abound. One of the most frequent style questions I get as a fashion blogger is, "How do I go from the office straight to a party?" Most working girls don't want to have to go all the way home to change when they have an early-evening soirée during the week. The key is to be able to re-style an office outfit to a party outfit with ease. In this post, I am wearing basic black pants and a white blouse as my base for both occasions.

I'm wearing a great pair of basic black pants with a white-collared shirt. I added a cute leopard-print sweater, pearl accessories (including these trendy studded barrettes), and simple black pumps.

For a quick transition, I swapped the cardigan for a silver sequin jacket, opted for sparkly evening sandals over office pumps, and added a hair bow, rhinestone belt, and lots of blingy necklaces—all of which can easily be carried to the office in a tote. Plus, I threw in some silver eyeshadow and red lipstick to go from day to night with plenty of pizzazz.
