Shop for a Cause at the Houston Furniture Bank This Weekend

It’s not all fireworks this Fourth of July. With the holiday weekend comes plenty of big deals across town, but we’ve got our eyes on one sale that’s for a good cause. After all, what is more patriotic than helping those in your community?
Through Sunday, the Houston Furniture Bank is hosting a Shop For a Good Cause Fourth of July sale.
The organization’s two Houston-area outlet stores are partnering with over 45 agencies to sell both new and gently-used furniture 50-percent off retail prices and free pickup with delivery of its gently-used furniture this weekend. You can find everything you need to furnish your home, from a memory-foam mattress to solid-wood dining room tables and all sorts of other exclusive items.
The Houston Furniture Bank is a nonprofit organization that provides families in need with affordable, essential furniture like a bed to sleep on, a couch to sit on, and a table to gather around. Sales from its retail store, including those during this sale, go to funding that purpose.
If you aren’t just yet ready to head back out to those busy sales, you can shop Houston Furniture Bank’s online store.
If you have any gently used furniture to donate, the Houston Furniture Bank—which has a robust mattress recycling program—will gladly take it. Not only will you receive a tax receipt for your donation, but you could also be making a difference to a family in need.
