You'll find unique beauty and wellness products inside the pastel-colored shop.

With retail favorites like Taft and Burdlife, M-K-T has quickly become one of Houston's boutique shopping hotspots. The market has been repurposing old warehouses to create a hub for small and well-known businesses from apparel to food and fitness.

So, while scrolling down my TikTok feed, I wasn't surprised to see another cool shop had popped up in the area. Founded by Molly Mathias, Go Easy encourages shoppers to indulge in self-care with its gratifying selection of beauty and wellness goods. Gearing up for its first anniversary in June, the Dallas-born owner reveals how her newfound love for Houston helped push her self-care agenda. "I feel like Dallas and Houston always have this rivalry, so if someone asked me three years ago, I would've said never," Mathias tells Houstonia. "But, with COVID, nothing was really happening, and that's when I was really falling in love with the M-K-T development."

Mathias opens up the conversation surrounding your well-being despite size, race, or sexuality with the Go Easy business. She supports the notion that investing in yourself can have a variety of meanings, from something as simple as ordering a pizza to simply completing one task for the day.

The store fits right into the M-K-T lively community, from the pastel decor to its vivacious energy. Outside of typical beauty care, Go Easy has a unique stock of CBD products from Delta 8 Gummies to Pre Rolled Cones and a selection catered to sexual wellness. "It's not just bath bombs and face masks. It's also vibrators and lube, figuring out what you like and figuring out your body," she says. "We wanted to start the conversation around masturbation. There are no taboos, and we just believe that all forms of sex are a part of self-care."

Go Easy has exciting plans for the summer anniversary, including expanding its own line of smoking products and adding sunscreens, serums, and lip balms to its stock. Shoppers can also look out for a larger CBD gummy collection by the brand, which is in the works for the fall.
