Engagement rings by Tacori.

Forty percent of engagements occur between November and February, and Robbins Brothers Houston is prepared—which is a good thing, since “The Engagement Ring Store” appears in the West Loop jeweler’s name, after all.

The Galleria-area retailer partnered with a slew of bridal jewelry designers this month to preview new styles for the upcoming engagement season at the store’s annual Evening of Design. Co-hosted by local blogger Shelbi Adams of It’s All Chic to Me, the party drew influencers and fashionistas from across the city.

But the real story was the bling, of which there was no shortage. Guests mixed, mingled, and modeled show-stopping rocks from featured designers Tacori, Henri Daussi, Karl Lagerfeld, Coast Diamond, Michael M, Kirk Kara, and Simon G.

This season, we’re partial to the sparkly stunners from Daussi—with gigantic center diamonds that face up larger than traditional stones—and geometric halos from fashion luminary Karl Lagerfeld, whose special bridal jewelry collection, inspired by Parisian architecture, is exclusive to Robbins Brothers.

The Evening of Design benefited Wish Upon a Wedding, a non-profit that grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing serious illness or life-altering circumstance (cue the tears). Robbins Brothers donated $50 to the organization for each guest’s social media post, extending its #SelfieForAWish campaign launched earlier this year.
