(I'm sure Kirk already knows) but the elusive release date of the beloved Gilmore Girls reboot is finally (!) here.
The Gilmore Girls Facebook page announced Wednesday afternoon that the new four-part series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, will be available on Netflix starting Nov. 25.
Based on the trailer, we're guessing the four "episodes" will be divided by season, as the opening credits read: "Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall—Seasons may change, but some things never will." It also reveals that after nearly a decade of leaving Stars Hollow, not much has changed when it comes to pop culture fodder between mother Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and daughter Rory (Houston native Alexis Bledel):
"Do you think Amy Schumer would like me?" Lorelai asks.
"No," Rory says.
"Why? It's not like I'm perpetually armed, or at sundown I turn into one of those vampires with no sense of humor, or I have that plant strapped to me that blooms every year and smells disgusting," Lorelai says.
Eventually, Rory says, "Every single time I see her in a magazine, she's on vacation doing water sports."
Disgusted, Lorelai says, "No. That would not work at all."
Welcome back, Gilmore Girls. We missed you.
