A collaboration with the Alley Theatre has catapulted Lott Entertainment Presents, a performing arts presenter, onto Houston’s well-established arts scene. Their new season of shows will be presented in the Alley’s Neuhaus Theatre, which executive director Allison Lott called “one of Houston’s most cherished spaces.”
Only in its second season of presenting shows, Lott Entertainment Presents is catering to their new venue by making their performances fit into an intimate cabaret-style space.
“The versatile space is perfect for our needs,” artistic director Kathryn Lott—no relation–said. “It will allow us to present in multiple configurations with a larger inventory while still maintaining the intimacy that is so crucial to our programming.”
The company says their mission is to fill a gap in Houston’s art scene with untraditional works that push boundaries and are deliberately provocative and immersive. With a list of shows that explore everything from sex to America, it’s bound to be an interesting season.
