If you didn't know, Cardi B is pregnant. The 25-year-old Bronx rapper made the announcement during her first-ever Saturday Night Live performance earlier this month, just one day after the release of her major label debut album Invasion of Privacy. Subsequent appearances have included a co-hosting gig at The Tonight Show and both weekends of Coachella, but the wildly popular MC took to her Instagram last night to inform fans she's taking a break.

That break coincides with JMBLYA, the sixth-annual Texas hip-hop festival winding through Dallas, Austin, and Houston next month. Cardi B was set to join headliner J. Cole and other chart-toppers like Migos—the trap trio that includes Cardi's fiancé, Offset—in the three-day tour that culminates with a Bayou City stop in Sam Houston Race Park on May 6. Today, JMBLYA producer ScoreMore Shows announced Young Thug will take Cardi's place on the tour.

"Shorty keep growing and I be looking like I be moving and everything, but in reality, a b*tch can barely breathe," Cardi said in an Instagram video characteristic of the candor and humor fans have come to expect from her. She confirmed this weekend's Broccoli Fest in Washington, D.C. will be her last performance "for a while" while she focuses on her pregnancy.

"We love Cardi B. We love the album. Our ScoreMore team was so excited for the opportunity to work together," ScoreMore president and co-founder Sascha Stone Guttfreund said. "Unfortunately, it won't be on these shows, but the reason as to why is something that should truly be celebrated as we wish Cardi B, Offset, and their entire family nothing but the best as they embark on this exciting new chapter."

Cardi's JMBLYA replacement found fame through collaborations with rappers like Birdman and Gucci Mane, and was signed to the latter's record label after dropping a series of independent mixtapes. Known for his eccentric style, Young Thug has since earned critical acclaim and a mainstream following with commercially popular singles and guest spots on tracks like T.I.'s "About the Money." JMBLYA marks the Atlanta rapper's first festival appearance of 2018 and an opportunity for fans to potentially hear new music from his forthcoming Hi Tunes project.

Local Cardi fans will have another chance to catch the rapper this fall when she joins Bruno Mars on his 24K Magic World Tour, albeit not so close to home—Dallas and Austin are the only Texas stops on the tour.
