Post Malone and 21 Savage

June 15 | Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion

Post Malone is either a slacker genius worthy of his chart-topping rap hits, or the worst thing to come out of Dallas (with the face tattoos to match). Whichever it is, his latest, Beerbongs & Bentleys, remains red hot and ready for The Woodlands.

Tickets from $129 (yes—for lawn seats!). Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, 2005 Lake Robbins Dr. 281-364-3010. More info and tickets at

Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition

Thru July 31 | The Corinthian

We'll level with you: A photographic reproduction of the Vatican's Sistine Chapel plastered across a downtown event space isn't going to be a museum quality Art™️ experience (to be clear, this is entirely unrelated to the just-departed MFAH Michelangelo exhibition). But unless United adds a $99 IAH to FCO travel deal, this is your best bet to inspect and enjoy larger-than-life replicas of The Last Judgment and The Creation of Adam.

Tickets from $15. The Corinthian, 202 Fannin St. 713-974-1335. More info and tickets at

Guys & Dolls

Thru June 24 | TUTS

The Depression Era tale of gamblers and gams takes on a Latin-inspired tinge to juice up classic numbers like "Luck Be A Lady" that have racked up five Tony's and counting for this beloved comedy musical.

Tickets from $30. Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, 800 Bagby St. 713-315-2525. More info and tickets at

David Sedaris

June 16 | Brazos Bookstore

Everyone's favorite This American Life fill-in makes his annual Houston pilgrimage to read from Calypso, his newest collection of stories (a notable departure from his work's usual label of "personal essays"). Reviews are mostly positive, and the stories delve into the unpleasantness of middle age, impromptu tumor (and tooth) removal, and life at his North Caroline beach estate dubbed, amazingly, Sea Section.

Free. Brazos Bookstore, 2421 Bissonnet St. 713-523-0701. More info at

Fresh Drunk Stoned Comedy Tour

June 17 | The Secret Group

West Coat and Third Coast comedians converge as trio Tim Hanlon, Franco Harris, and Matt Bellak continue their sell-out national tour of over-the-top irreverence with the added confidence that comes only with the help of one or two substances.

Tickets from $7. The Secret Group, 2101 Polk St. 832-898-1088. More info and tickets at
