While the lineup of rodeo entertainment may have leaked early (twice), that didn't help much. Folks without season tickets still have to wait until 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, to grab their seats.
The main batch of performers—ranging from Cardi B to Brooks & Dunn to Camila Cabello to Tim McGraw—offer tickets starting at $20. Note that a six-ticket maximum applies for the first day of sales.
Should you be in the market for coveted George Strait seats, know that a special two-ticket maximum applies for the first day of sales. This means you might actually have a chance at seeing the final show of the year. It's not Garth Brooks, of course, but we're sure Mr. Strait will be worth the cash.
As far as tips, first-time visitors shouldn't worry too much about sight lines when choosing seats; entertainment takes place on a special rotating, star-shaped stage that ensures the whole stadium glimpses the performer. This being NRG, however, be aware that the stadium's mediocre soundscape decreases exponentially with altitude. It might be worth the splurge to avoid the nosebleeds.
In-person ticket sales—sans service fees—begin tomorrow, January 11, at the NRG box office.
