White Oak Music Hall is celebrating 5 years of live music this weekend. 

Screening of the Sandlot at City Place 

Don’t be an L-7 weenie this weekend! Enjoy a family movie, picnic-style, in the City Place plaza. This month, gather your friends and family for the coming-of-age story The Sandlot (1993). Bring a blanket and grab some food from one of the restaurants in the area. The event is free to the public, but RSVP is required.

5th Anniversary Party at White Oak Music Hall

White Oak Music Hall is celebrating their 5 year anniversary in Houston with a free event this weekend. The birthday party will include the diverse musical stylings of Ruckus, Camera Cult, Marley MooniLL LiaD, and DJ Hiram who will play a montage of artists that have performed at White Oak Music Hall over the years.

Karbach Backyard Olympics at Karbach Brewing Co.

Did this year's Olympics leave you feeling inspired? Well, Houston's Karbach Biergarten has something to get you going. In teams of two, you can battle it out for gold, silver, or bronze in games of ring toss, 3-legged races, corn hole, and skee-ball. There will be 10 individual competitions plus a Charity Challenge benefiting Southern Smoke Foundation.

Camp Logan: A Case for the Pardon at the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum

The Buffalo Soldiers National Museum in Midtown will be marking the 104th anniversary of the Houston mutiny and riots at Camp Logan, a WWI military camp that was formerly located in what we now know as Memorial Park. The weekend of events includes a virtual opening reception on Friday, a student mock trial debate, a movie screening of The 24th, and Q&A to close out the weekend of events.

DaCamera presents SummerJazz 2021 

Dacamera returns to the concert hall and to Houston’s downtown Theater District for a summer jazz festival. The three-day fest features powerful names in jazz music, including Dianne Reeves, Dafnis Prieto Big Band, and Marquis Hill. The festival will celebrate jazz in a safe, socially distant way. Masks are required.
