As we enter a new era of sound, Houston proves itself to be one of the best cities to cultivate creative and sonic abilities一with Reggie and Smino's latest collaboration, "Avalanche" and Chase B's "365," there's no better time to tell folks that you hail from the greatest city on Earth.

Hayes Carll, "In The Mean Time


Country legend Hayes Carll brings us country melodies this week with his latest single, "In The Mean Time," featuring Brandy Clark. The song is the latest release from his forthcoming album, "You Get It All," coming later this month. 

Janelle Monáe featuring Beyoncé, "SAYHERNAME (Hell You Talmbout)"


Janelle Monáe enlisted a roster of hard hitters for her latest protest song, "SAYHERNAME." The song features Alicia Keys and Houston's very own, Beyoncé. The track honors 61 Black girls and women who lost their lives at the hands of police brutality. 

Keith Jacobs, "Hartsfield to Hobby"


R&B singer Keith Jacobs returns to the music scene with his heartfelt song "Hartsfield to Hobby." Jacobs serenades the ladies with his new deep cut, interpolating lyrics from Donnell Jones' "Where I Wanna Be."

Brittney Balma, "Our Love"


Brittney Balma is making a massive return to the music scene after overcoming a heartfelt battle with cancer. The Houston songstress recently released a single titled "Our Love" from her upcoming EP, For Me

Reggie, featuring Smino, "Avalanche"


Houston powerhouse Reggie has debuted his latest effort, "Avalanche," featuring St. Louis emcee Smino. The well matched duo work together to create a smooth yet reflective ballad. 

Chase B featuring Babyface Ray, Zona Man and GT, "365"


Cactus Jack affiliate and Travis Scott's DJ Chase B, released his collaboration song "365" with Babyface Ray, Zona Man, and GT. Chase B has had a successful output recently, as "365" follows his previous all-star anthem, "For Me," featuring Houston stars Ken The Man and OMB Bloodbath.
