BANKSYLAND Immersive Art Exhibition Arrives in Houston

See the celebrated street artist’s most iconic work this weekend.

If you know art, you know Banksy. Infamous for his stenciled graffiti and controversial hijinks, the anonymous artist rose to prominence for his cynical art pieces criticizing militarism, consumerism, and greed. From shredding his painting upon its sale at an auction to creating a dystopian Disneyland parody, Banksy has made a name for himself as one of the most prolific street artists of all time, all without ever revealing his true identity.

And while your chances of seeing Banksy himself in Houston are still slim to none, that’s no longer the case for his art. Banksy-themed exhibition BANKSYLAND will be making its appearance in H-Town this weekend, so Houstonians can finally get up close and personal with his most iconic works.

Created by the international arts collective One Thousand Ways, the unauthorized exhibition aims to immerse visitors in a multimedia art experience that examines Banksy’s cultural impact. It features more than 80 works brought together from private collections worldwide—including signed studio pieces, original paintings, salvaged street art, and never-before-seen installations.

BANKSYLAND Houston will be on view at The Space HTX on August 19 and 20. Fans can purchase general admission tickets for $29, or $22 with valid student ID. For the ultimate experience, art aficionados should snag VIP experience tickets for $59, which will include all-day access rather than the general admission rate’s hourlong time slot, a limited edition hand-screened exhibition poster, and an audio tour of the exhibition.
