This Saturday marks the 12th annual Houston Cellar Classic at The Tasting Room, a sprawling indoor and outdoor event spanning the 9,000 square feet of the Uptown Park wine bar and restaurant. The annual Cellar Classic hosts over 1,400 guests each year and has become a large part of our city's autumn agenda, featuring over 100 wines from around the globe, live music from The Revelators, and a variety of dishes from some of Houston's top chefs—all of it benefitting Dress for Success.

Chefs from participating restaurants Weights + Measures, PESKA Seafood Culture, La Fisheria, Dish Society, Kiran's, Slow Dough Bread Co., Latin Bites and Ristorante Cavour will create wine inspired dishes as they compete for the highly coveted grand prize sponsored by Diageo-Moet Hennessy: a three-day, two-night stay at the Chandon condo at Silverado Country Club in Napa, California.

A judging panel of Houston food critics and media personalities, including Chita Johnson of KHOU Channel 11 and Dress for Success Houston board member Roseann Rogers, will cast their votes to select a grand champion. Festival attendees will also play a crucial role throughout the day in selecting their favorite restaurant for the "fan favorite" award. Additional restaurants participating in the days festivities include Max's Wine Dive, Anejo, Flow Juice Bar and, of course, The Tasting Room.

Fingers crossed that Houston's weekend weather cooperates for one of the loveliest sip and stroll events of the year.
