Seasons 52 offers a constantly rotating selection of seasonal flatbreads.

As many of us begin to slowly emerge from our Turkey Day food coma, pants a little more snug than they were last week, we face the fact that this holiday weekend was only the beginning. The month of December will no doubt bring a slew of holiday parties, hearty feasts and festive sweets. Between bites, we attempt to partake in meals where perhaps pie isn't on the menu. For this post-Thanksgiving Meatless Monday, a light, vegetable-forward meal at Seasons 52 is just what the doctor ordered.

As the name suggests, Seasons 52 boasts a menu of seasonally-inspired items carefully chosen for all 52 weeks of the year. Fresh ingredients and a creative culinary style promise lighter options while you dine out during the holidays. The restaurant boasts a large regular menu, and an alternative menu of dairy sensitive, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.

Blistered shisito peppers with a lemon aioli clock in at 250 calories.

The fall season finds such warm vegetarian selections as butternut squash soup (230 calories per bowl), artichoke and goat cheese flatbread (390 calories) and cedar-plank roasted tofu. In the way of pure roughage, the salad menu includes such varieties as the spinach and caramelized Bosc pear (340 calories), the warm roasted tomato Caprese (470 calories) and the warm harvest mushroom and arugula with tasty truffle dressing.

With two restaurants in Houston, one near the posh River Oaks District and a newer location at CityCentre, Seasons 52 provides guests with a casual, upscale dining experience sans the guilt. Known as one of few restaurants in Houston to pay attention to food restrictions and calorie count, and a far more exciting place to dine than your local build-your-own-salad joint, the restaurant invites everyone to enjoy the flavors of the fall.
