It’s hard to believe that the Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair has now entered its sassiest of sassy teen years—this is the 15th annual event, where you and 10,000 of your closest friends will descend this month for five days of indulgence. The Lone Star Love
A big focus on this year’s Grand Tasting is showcasing vintners from the nearby Texas wine country. Look for pours from Llano, San Antonio Winery, and Texas Fine Wines, for starters.
If cocktails are more your thing, the city’s top bartenders will be competing to make the best Don Julio drink during the riotous April 5 Bar Fight!, where you can ward off a hangover by downing local chefs’ interpretations of Oaxacan and Yucatecan street food.

Head straight for the lobster roll station at the Grand Tasting on April 6, where chefs Brian & Shannon O’Hea, in town all the way from the Academe restaurant at Maine’s Kennebunk Inn, will be serving up their signature decadent sandwich.
Brazos State Park plays host to two of this year’s parties, the Bistro Brunch and the Sip & Stroll (April 7), which means an opportunity to explore the 4,900-acre park, wine and snacks in hand.
Can a bagel make you jump like David Lee Roth? Probably, if it’s from Austin’s Rockstar Bagels. Try their rosemary salt bagel with lobster mousse spread at the Bistro Brunch on April 8.
