Prepare for Chaos at The Chocolate Bar

There are new desserts on the menu, including a midnight snack of a cookie.

Need a quick spike in blood sugar? Try the Chaos Cookie!

As if we needed more excuses to visit The Chocolate Bar.

At least, I didn’t, given it’s the source of the Night & Day cake, one of my all-time favorite desserts.

The introduction of some new goodies, however, compelled me to deviate from my regular order. Recent additions to the dessert docket include macarons (try the blueberry or mint chocolate), which unlike those vended by some establishments are not huge and mostly broken, but appropriately sized, intact, and most importantly delicious.

I’m a sucker for a great cookie, and I admire The Chocolate Bar’s Chaos Cookie, which puts a salty, crunchy spin on the traditional circular confection via the addition of chocolate cookie bits, pretzels, and potato chips.

Dentists are guaranteed to be chagrined at The Chocolate Bar’s insanely rich fudge offerings, which are dense and buttery, and in flavors such as chocolate and vanilla caramel sea salt. Good thing I work in neurosurgery, yo: I just grinned after biting into a piece of the chocolate peanut butter.

Take a trip to the strawberry patch with this indulgent cake.

The introduction of two tiered treats, namely a carrot cake (replete with a thick layer of cream cheese frosting) and a strawberry cream cake (whose rosy hue reflects bold natural notes of berry), further warrants a visit sooner rather than later to The Chocolate Bar. And good news: A slice of each partially satisfies your RDA of vegetables and fruit, respectively. At least that’s what I told myself.

The debut of the aforementioned has probably clued you into the fact that The Chocolate Bar is branching out from its titular emphasis on cocoa-centric goodies. As long as chocolate remains its first love and focus, that’s fine by me.
