Have you made Independence Day plans yet? A bunch of local breweries are hosting parties, because nothing says America's birthday quite like beer, burgers, and a clear view of fireworks. Get those plans down, and learn more about what's happening in Houston beer, with this week's roundup:

This Saturday is City Acre's third anniversary party. Starting at noon, the brewery is hosting a beach party with water games, frozen treats, music, carnival fare, and specialty beer releases. Look for a caramel key lime IPA and a big ol' peach beer.
No Label is hosting its second annual Corn Hole Tournament and Silent Auction, in collaboration with Pour into Houston. All proceeds go toward Pour into Houston, which provides mental care to underserved Houstonians. Fun starts at 11 a.m. with check-in for the tournament (the tournament begins at 1 p.m.). The event also includes face painting, barbecue, and a raffle.
Platypus is hosting its July 4 Block Party on, well, July 4. Starts at noon. Live music and a view of the Freedom Over Texas fireworks.
Astral's Independence Day party includes DJs, Balls Out Burger, beer infusions, and more. It starts at noon.
And at Bearded Fox, head over between 2 and 10 p.m. on the 4th for burgers and dogs, plus early-bird specials (2-5 p.m.).
Vallensons' is throwing a party the day before the Fourth, since maybe you have a few days off. The fun starts at 3 p.m. and includes a food truck.
Eureka Heights's Bunny at Bat contest is going on through the weekend. Just post on Facebook or Instagram a photo of your Buckle Bunny can at Minute Maid Park for a chance to win Astros tickets and a $100 brewery gift card.
A bunch of rare beers are on tap for a limited time at Saint Arnold Beer Garden & Restaurant. Those beers include the 25th Anniversary Grand Cru, Art Car IPA with blueberries, and Divine Reserve No. 15 in tawny port and in ruby port, plus No. 18 in rye whiskey. Get 'em while they last.
Spindletap is releasing four-packs of Diamonds in My Mouth and Juiceton. You can grab them Saturday (starting 10 a.m.), when a limited amount will be available.
Two variants of the recently released Hop Knight are now available at Ingenious: Joker Joose (8.1 percent ABV New England IPA finished with grapefruit) and Bat Blood (8.1 percent ABV New England IPA finished with blood orange). Also now available is a kiwi coconut Berliner weisse.
At 11 Below, Bee Someone is out for a while, and Crazy Pilz, a dry hopped pilsner, comes in for the summer.
Bakfish has rolled out a Belgian pale ale called Treble Maker.
New stuff at B-52 includes a watermelon pineapple fruited sour and an IPA conditioned on coconut. Both available starting Friday.
Saloon Door is releasing a Russian imperial stout called I Must Break You (in honor of Ivan Drago). Four packs available starting at noon Saturday.
