Food and Drink Spots Doing Deals for Customers Right Now

To-go beer, gift cards, and more options so you can support local establishments.

Yup, you can and should still have wild game. Rainbow Lodge is doing to-go with a $20 gift card attached.

The novel coronavirus COVID-19 is forcing us to rethink how we do just about everything, including eating. Know that most Houston restaurants, bars, breweries, cafes, and other eateries are operating as normal right now, and some of them are offering specials, discounts, and trying new things to get people food and drink.

Now, keep in mind this disclaimer: 

  • If you're sick or feeling sick, don't go out in public.
  • Whether or not you're sick, avoid large groups of people. Exercise caution when visiting a restaurant or establishment.
  • Keep a distance from people as much as possible.

Here's what we know so far:

Rainbow Lodge is giving people a $20 gift card when they order online for pick-up. Visit rainbow-lodge.com to review the menu, then call 713-861-8666 to order and pay. Pull through valet and you'll get your food and a $20 gift card.

At Jax Grill and the Union Kitchen, guests with an unused Rodeo concert ticket can get 10 percent-off their bill, and an unused Rodeo drink ticket can get you $1 off a cocktail. Also, kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday–Friday.

Sticky's Chicken is offering 10 percent-off for guests with a cancelled event ticket. 

Saint Arnold Brewing Co. is selling drive-thru beer to-go. Drive to the brewery and into the Art Car Gallery to get yours from 4 p.m.–7 p.m. today.

All day Sunday, Voodoo Doughnut is offering a free Rodeo doughnut (chocolate cake dipped in vanilla frosting with a blue star, red sprinkles, and chocolate chips) to those who have unused, pre-purchased Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo tickets.

Orleans Seafood Kitchen in Katy is offering 10 percent off to-go orders throughout March. And those who have unused, pre-paid Rodeo tickets will get a 10 percent discount on their bill (excluding alcohol).

French Country Wines is hosting a free tasting Saturday of its French wines that won medals at the Rodeo Uncorked! competition. Also, it's offering free curbside service for those who order ahead of time: email [email protected] for a retail list, then pay via Square and call as you're coming.
