Radom Capital LLC, the firm behind a redevelopment project at 3201 Allen Pkwy, announced Friday that it had secured signed leases with three tenants, including BlendIn Coffee Club. The coffee house from former scientist Weihong Zhang (with a location in Sugar Land) sources beans from across the world for its drinks and hosts regular coffee grading and tasting classes.
BlendIn will move into a 1,500-square-foot space adjacent to the lobby of 3201 Allen Pkwy. "We are thrilled to bring our craft coffee and seasonal pastries to this historic building inside Houston’s Inner Loop," says Zhang. "3201 Allen’s central location and elevated aesthetic is the perfect place to showcase our tree-to-cup approach and variety of offerings."
The Mediterranean Revival-style property across from Buffalo Bayou Park dates to 1930 and was the former home of Stages Repertory Theatre.
Battlehops Brewing at 6801 Highway Blvd in Katy has transformed itself into a beer and board game shop. As it can't serve customers as a taproom because of state-imposed restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, the brewery decided to pivot by offering everything folks need for a fun night in the house. You can find new board games for sale, takeout food, and to-go drinks, including coffee, root beer, and of course, Battlehops beer.
FM Kitchen's soon-to-open location at 907 Westheimer Rd in Montrose has gotten a little larger. The restaurant acquired an additional 1,100 square feet of adjacent space, which means the restaurant will now have 138 seats, an expansive patio, and a larger kitchen. "Montrose is the perfect neighborhood to expand how we think about FM as a concept," FM Operating Partner Jason Mok says. "We'll continue to showcase our strengths, but at the same time use this location as a springboard to be creative and bring fresh ideas to enhance our bar and food offerings, as well as the FM experience." The new FM is scheduled to open in the fall.
