Dish Society has seen plenty of upward growth in the recent past. For example, its revitalized and expanded Katy location was unveiled last week, just a couple of months after an all-new location opened in West University.
But there's even more happening at the everyday-casual local chain. On Monday its parent company, Five 12 Restaurant Concepts, announced the hiring of Brandi Key as director of culinary operations. Key was previously executive chef at Alice Blue and brings with her more than a decade of experience at Pappas Restaurants.
"I've been eating at Dish Society for a while now, and have always admired what they offer," said Key in a press release. "Their aggressive efforts to source locally was a huge draw for me. Dish Society has taken the farm-to-table model and made it incredibly approachable, with quick, all-day service; accessible online ordering; and customizable menu options to accommodate everyone."
Key will help Five 12 launch more brands and introduce menu changes at Dish Society. It seems as if more growth is anticipated at the hospitality company.
"It's been a wild ride with a tremendous amount of learning experiences," said Five 12 owner Aaron Lyons. "I created this concept expecting it to grow and to be where we are, but yet it's still amazing to see it actually come to fruition. We're on that path, and it's easy to say this was my goal from the beginning, but looking back on the hard work, the naivety ... I'm incredibly proud."
