A Houston choose-your-own gyro concept has eyes on big-time expansion.
Gyro Republic, which opened its first location at 19920 Southwest Fwy. in 2019, announced last week that this summer it'll unveil two new spots: 4808 Waterview Town Center Dr., #100, at Waterview Town Center in Richmond and 7549 Southwest Fwy., #300, at the Pillars at HBU in Sharpstown.
The Waterview Town Center location of Gyro Republic will be 1,500 square feet with seating for 25 inside and 25 outside. The Sharpstown location will be 2,000 square feet with seating for 25 inside and 10 outside.
But that isn't all. Founder and CEO Rehan Ranpuri has visions to open Gyro Republics in neighborhoods like the Heights, Montrose, and Midtown.
Gyro Republic is a fast casual concept that allows people to customize their own version of the Mediterranean street food. Customers choose pita, rice, or salad as a base, then add protein, toppings, and a sauce. Thus, you can make a gyro in a pita, a rice bowl, or a salad.
