Fort Bend County is expanding to make room for more new residential living. New Quest Properties announced that it has completed a triple land play for a little over 109 acres in Fort Bend Town Square, making room for 589 apartments and an additional 200,000 square feet of mixed-use commercial space.
NewQuest's latest deal, titled Phase III, includes the acquisition of 86.14 acres of land and control of three corners at the intersection of Fort Bend Parkway and TX-6. The site plan will include residential buildings that feature high-amenities such as a walking trail, swimming pool, and more luxury additions.
Only a 15-minute drive from the Texas Medical Center, the new development will be the perfect spot for medical professionals who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
“There are many medical professionals of all ages who want high-end, urban-style units outside the city versus what’s historically been available,” says Andrew Alvis, NewQuest senior associate. “We plan to fulfill that demand while also putting bodies on the ground to further support our retail, restaurant, and entertainment tenants.”
Outside of residential living, the new space will boast "familiar brands for shopping, dining, and entertainment venues." Claire Shoop at Community Impact reported in August that the development would be anchored by a 12-screen Cinemark Theatre.
“We want Fort Bend Town Center to be the premier lifestyle hub for shopping, dining, entertainment, and high-end apartments in southwest Houston,” says Alvis. “This will be the first multifamily development to come out of the ground at that intersection.”
The project is being hailed as the "commercial heart of Missouri City," and Alvis claims that "Fort Bend Town Center will be one of the largest mixed-use developments at completion west of Medical Center."
