MUSIC LEGEND DIONNE WARWICK will be performing live in Sugar Land for the first-ever Dogepalooza.
The Grammy Award-winning songstress rose to fame in the late 1960s for her songs “Do You Know the Way to San Jose” and “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again.” However, it wasn't until last year, Warwick, 80, received attention for her funny jokes and witty commentary on Twitter.
The festival, named after the popular cryptocurrency Dogecoin, is an “innovative fun way to bring the Doge community together,” according to its website. The first of its kind, Dogepalooza is an all-around global celebration and movement of Do Only Good Everyday or DOGE (for short). What was originally created as a meme, quickly became lucrative in the crypto community, especially with business tycoons like Elon Musk backing the mysterious fad, once calling the coin his “favorite cryptocurrency.”
Dogecoin might be my fav cryptocurrency. It’s pretty cool.

Dogepalooza will be held at Constellation Field in Sugar Land this October and includes an impressive lineup of artists. With Warwick as the headliner, she is accompanied by her Grammy Award-winning son Damon Elliott, whose production credits include Willie Nelson, Destiny’s Child, and Solange. Chloe Flower, who accompanied Cardi B at the 2019 Grammys, will also perform. With October being a few months away, the website mentions additional guest appearances may be in the works.
In addition, the festival will include a day of food, special DOGE merchandise, vendors, and educational workshops for people to learn more about the trendy crypto convo that is stirring up the internet.
The website notes that funds made throughout the dat will be given back to the community through local and national charities. Tickets for Dogepalooza range from $125 - $300. Children’s tickets are $50. Saturday, October 9. Constellation Field, 1 Stadium Drive Sugar Land, TX 77498.
