ThIS holiday weekend doesn't stop the hustle and bustle of the Bayou City. While some are snagging Black Friday deals; expos, plays, and festivals are still alive and well. This weekend, bring in the yuletide with Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol at Alley Theatre or learn to make candles with Love & Make in Rice Village.

Autorama at the George R. Brown Convention Center

Houston is a city with a massive car culture and the residents are enamored with beautiful candy-painted slabs, lowriders, and more. This weekend, car fanatics can see the beauty of these automobiles at the 61st annual Houston Autorama. The expo will display some of Space City's finest hotrods, custom cars, and motorcycles.

Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol at Alley Theatre

Don't be a scrooge this year! Visit Alley Theatre this weekend to see the coveted theatre troupes lively interpretation of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. The heartwarming Christmas story follows Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey with the three ghostly spirits who visit him on Christmas Eve.

Urban Harvest Farner's Market on Buffalo Speedway

Founded in 1994, Urban Harvest has cultivated a thriving community through gardening and access to healthy, local food, and this weekend is like no other. The organization will host a farmer's market, where vendors, can sell fresh produce harvested directly from their own soils.

Love & Make's Candle Making Workshop in Rice Village

Do you love the smell of sweet aromas? At Love & Make's candle-making workshop,  you can learn how to custom design your very own soy-wax candles, with guided instruction by an experienced chandler.

Bilingual Yoga at Cullen Sculpture Garden

The Museum of Fine Arts program, MFAH on the Move, has curated a relaxing and invigorating experience with Bilingual Yoga at Cullen Sculpture Garden. Yuri Amor Perez's experienced instruction will make your body feel good, and the experience is set in the beautiful outdoor setting of Cullen Sculpture Garden.
