At any given moment, Houston can be filled with celebrities. Whether socialites and rappers decide to stop in the Bayou City for the night on the town, or hosting an event, celebrity sightings are never too far off. Last week in Houston, Youtuber's Jake and Logan Paul stopped by for a weekend at Clé, and Trae Tha Truth opened a new boxing gym. Elsewhere, the City of Houston extended WIC benefits until March, and a popular Houston chef is back with an all new concept.

The 2022 Chevron Houston Marathon shuts down Houston-area streets

 

The 50th anniversary of the Chevron Houston Marathon will returned to the Bayou City, causing several road closures and shutting down the Metro Red Line. Roads reopened at 2:00 p.m.

Trae Tha Truth opens 4 Corners Boxing Gym

 

The rapper and humanitarian debuted his latest venture, 4 Corners Boxing Gym. The new Houston businesses was opened in partnership with the Grandy Twins, the duo boxing prodigies from Philadelphia. 

Goodnight Hospitality Opening the Marigold Club

 

Chef Austin Waiter, formerly of Tony's, serves as a partner of the new Goodnight Hospitality outpost. According to a release, the new club will feature "rich upholstery, intimate banquettes, and a speakeasy-inspired private dining room." The restaurant will open in the former Goodnight Charlie's space. 

City of Houston extends WIC benefits through March 2022

 

The Further Extending Government Funding Act of 2022 authorized WIC organizations around the country to extend benefits for fruits and vegetables starting January 1, and running through March. 

Jake and Logan Paul visit Houston

 

Youtuber's and professional boxers Jake and Logan Paul paid Houston a visit over the weekend to host an event at popular Nightclub Clé, for "King Of The Ring," a boxing-themed event.

Chef Terrance Gallivan is back in Houston with a new restaurant

 

Terrance Gallivan, one of the men responsible for popular Houston restaurants Pass & Provisions, is back in the Bayou City with a new restaurant set to open in Spring 2022. Dubbed Elro Pizza // Crudo, after his children, the restaurant will serve specialty pizzas, salads, small plates and sandwiches.
