The MLK Day parade acknowledges the civil rights efforts of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Don’t miss the chance to celebrate resilience and unity at Houston’s rescheduled 46th Annual Original MLK Parade and Festival, hosted by the Black Heritage Society. Originally planned for January 15, the event that celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., had to be canceled due to the recent freeze.

The parade is held every year on MLK Day, which honors the civil rights icon’s birthday. Now a national holiday, this day serves not only as a commemoration of Dr. King’s impactful life but also as a call to action to reflect on the ongoing struggles for equality and justice.

To get you ready and excited for this rescheduled, here is all the information you need to know about the event.
