Houstonia’s Pet of the Week: Tony the Well-Mannered Staffordshire
Houstonia has partnered with BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions to bring attention to some of our city's goodest boys and girls. Every week, we'll be highlighting a pup or kitty currently in need of a forever home. We love animals, and we hope this feature will help bring these furry friends closer to finding their human soulmates.

Meet Houstonia’s very first Pet of the Week: Tony!
Tony is a year and a half old well-mannered Staffordshire mix whose favorite thing in the world is the dog park! He loves to be outdoors, play fetch, and run around with all his dog friends. Tony does very well meeting new people and has had positive social interactions with kids 6-8 years old.
Tony has done super well at his foster home and is respectful of his Chihuahua foster sister. He never raises his voice and loves people. He is very intelligent and has learned several training commands such as sit, down, stay, heel, and come!

Tony is still working on walking on a loose leash because he gets too excited for walks. He also has a strong chase instinct, so a home without cats or small animals may be the best fit for him.
