Just when our heads had stopped spinning from all the new store announcements and grand opening parties at River Oaks District, the new luxury shopping center has announced three more new retailers, along with a new restaurant, that will set up shop in 2016.
NARS Cosmetics
NARS Cosmetics is no longer just your favorite brand to find at Sephora. The makeup and skincare company, known for their best-selling, universally flattering "Orgasm" blush, is opening its first stand-alone store in Texas at River Oaks District, offering the company's full range of products—foundation, blush, eye shadow, lipstick and lip stains, eyeliners and mascara in bold hues and natural neutrals.
Roberta Roller Rabbit
This resort-inspired line is an offshoot of designer Roberta Freymann's eponymous brand, evoking the spirit of wanderlust with a name from a fable that Freymann found while traveling in India. Founded in 2003, the brand making its Texas debut includes designs for men, women and children and also offers accessories, furniture and other knickknacks for your home—all in bright, beachy prints created from traditional hand blocks, making you feel like you’re on a year-round vacation.
Saint Bernard
Taking an adventurous vacation soon? You'll want to head to St. Bernard first—just don’t call it a sports store. This family-owned ski and snowboard equipment and attire destination started in Dallas in 1978 and the location at River Oaks District, set to open in February (in the heart of ski season!), will be its third. Among St. Bernard's fashionable athletic and outdoor brands for men, women and children are The North Face, Patagonia, Barbour, Vineyard Vines and L*Space, not to mention skis from Rossignol USA and Volkl, snowboards by Burton and mountain must-haves from GoPro, Yeti and more.
SumoMaya Mexican-Asian Kitchen
Houston, I hope you’re hungry, because once again you’re getting an ethnically diverse restaurant to add to your already growing list. Scottsdale-based SumoMaya Mexican-Asian Kitchen will feature fusion-style small bites, offering the best in Mexican and Asian cuisine.
