The Monthly Wrap
Where to Shop in June
Houston's new boutiques, shopping parties and where to find gifts for dad.
Sure, the days are heating up, but that just means the air conditioning inside the mall feels oh-so-good. Here are the new stores and special shopping events you'll want to hit this month, plus a couple places to pop in for a present before Father's Day on June 19.

1. Miles David
David Peck's relaunched line has made the move from his Montrose atelier to a studio in Briargrove, removing the overhead of a large space that no longer served its function and putting him closer to home for many of his Memorial- and Tanglewood-based clients.

2. Piermarini
Launched in 2010 in Dallas, this spring Piermarini said goodbye to Big D and hello to Houston, opening its transplanted storefront in Rice Village. Head there for wearable, fashion-forward basics for men and women like cotton dresses that you'll want to wear to work and all weekend long, breezy tanks and understated leather totes, plus tees, shoes, jewelry and the occasional home accessory. And since it's June, many of the goods on the racks are on sale.
2427 Rice Blvd., 713-291-2059, piermarini.us.
3. Vintique
It's only been around for a year, but we've become addicted to the quarterly Vintique pop-ups, which are a little bit like the Round Top Antiques Fair and Etsy had a baby and raised it in an urban loft. It's a great place to discover local makers and shops, plus there's always drinks and food trucks on hand to make it a fun shopping experience.
The summer edition is June 4-5 at Silver Street Studios, 2000 Edwards St., vintiqueflea.com.

Darling Way will celebrate its grand opening on June 4.

4. Darling Way
Respectable lingerie shops are the kind of place you don't realize is missing until a slew of them start popping up, each different from the last. The newest boutique to spice up your private life is Darling Way in the Heights. Houston lovers can find intimates and loungewear of both the comfortable and sexy varieties, plus (sexual) chocolates, risqué costumes, romantic gifts and a small library of erotica. The grand opening party is on June 4 during operating hours.
3423 White Oak Blvd., 855-932-7546, darlingway.com.
5. Mister Man Pop-Up Shop
The success of Esquire magazine is positive proof that guys are not opposed to a little luxury, they just usually don't know how to find it. Thus the genius of Pop Shop America's Mister Man Pop-Up Shop, which is fittingly timed just before Father's Day. Take your favorite dude to Buffalo Bayou Brewery (should be easy enough to convince him) and dazzle him with over 20 vendors selling handmade goods and curated vintage collections—think men's soaps, ties, vintage barware, cool t-shirts and art—plus live music, ice cream, a mustache contest and a burlesque performance.
Jun 17, 5-10 p.m. at Buffalo Bayou Brewery, 5301 Nolda St., popshopamerica.com.

6. TB3 Home
So you love artisan-made furniture but your budget means you've never ventured beyond shopping at Ikea? Drop a praise emoji for the launch of TB3 Home, a partnership between three furniture biz experts—one of whom also happens to be a former Houston Texans linebacker— who manufacture good-looking modern furniture themselves and sell it directly from their warehouse in EaDo, eliminating the extra costs associated with imports and middlemen. There are sectional sofas for just over $1,000, dining chairs for less than $200 a pop and tables starting under $500—no assembly required.
2301 Dallas St., 713-494-2570, tb3home.com.
