Certified bombshell Kate Upton dropped a bombshell of her own via Instagram last weekend: She's expecting her first child with husband/Astros starting pitcher Justin Verlander. That means a lil' slugger for Houston is officially on the way.

Kate and Justin married in Tuscany last November (two days after the 'Stros won the World Series) after dating for three years. In fact, Astros fans have Upton to thank for their MVP: Justin has previously credited his then-fiancé with his last-minute decision to move from Detroit to Houston.

Shortly after Kate announced her pregnancy (with a hashtag, in true 2018 style), Justin took to his own Insta to warm all of our hearts: "You're going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can't wait to start this new journey with you!" he posted. "You're the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I've ever met! I'm so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much."

Based on highly scientific research (read: Kate's social media activity and a series of texts with my sister, who's had a baby), here are some predictions for what the next nine months will bring.

Whether it's pickles or Nutella, Kate will have no trouble finding it in Houston. Should pregnancy enhance her sweet tooth, House of Pies is open all night for that clutch 3 a.m. slice of Bayou Goo. If she needs ice cream on the regular, may we suggest something more unconventional like a scoop (or four) of maple bacon bourbon? And if none of that hits the spot, well, then, there are always the 57 Whataburger locations in the city limits.

"What will Kate Upton want during her pregnancy?" I asked my sister, mom to a nearly 2-year-old. "Tums," she wrote back immediately.

More dancing

Just when we thought we couldn't possibly love our Astros any more, Alex Bregman went and posted their very adorable in-flight take on Drake's #InMyFeelings challenge. Are we projecting, or does Justin Verlander seem extra giddy?

A wee Gucci ensemble.

Boujee baby clothes

It goes without saying that Kate, a supermodel, has a taste for the finer things—she regularly appears in Vogue, stunned at the Met Gala, and has a penchant for Gucci. Add to great taste a net worth of around $20 million and you've got yourself a future baby with an incredibly enviable closet.

Tiny Astros gear

Of course, this baby will proudly rep daddy, just as Kate does. Luckily, there are plenty of baby options in the MLB Shop, and, it turns out the smaller a jersey or ball cap, the cuter it is.

A badass maternity shoot

This is where Kate really shines. You think a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model is going to let a little bump get in her way? This is not your average maternity photoshoot with happy couple hand-holding in the park or a tiny pair of shoes between some stilettos and cleats (though, on second thought, that might be cute). Rather, we envision Kate in full glam (and a killer bikini) on the shores of an exotic beach, waves lapping majestically. And, to shoot it, Annie Leibovitz or Mario Testino.

Marfa crib sheets

By the final weeks of pregnancy, the urge to nest will be full steam ahead (or so we've heard). A few suggestions for the parents-to-be from some of our favorite local retailers: whimsical, succulent-printed crib sheets inspired by Marfa ($60 from Biscuit), a darling bunny baby bath wrap ($44 from Events) and the perfect children's book: Goodnight Houston by Jennifer & Kyle Solak ($17.95 from Bering's). So...can we get an invite to that baby shower now?
