Houston Glass Show

When: Friday, August 16 (2–7 p.m.); Saturday, August 17 (10 a.m.–5 p.m.); and Sunday, August 18 (11 a.m.–4 p.m.)
Where: Fort Bend Country Fairgrounds, Rosenberg
What: The Houston Glass Club hosts its 45th annual vintage glass and antique show and sale, where more than 30 dealers from across the U.S. set up shop to offer Depression-era glass, American crystal, pottery, and more one-of-a-kind vintage treasures. The show is catered and also offers concessions; admission is $10 on Friday and $6 on Saturday and Sunday.

Celebrity Trainer Boot Camp

When: Saturday, August 17; 11 a.m.–noon
Where: Grand Ballroom at The Post Oak Hotel
What: James Harden, Andre Johnson, Lance might recognize some of Dose and Taj Khan's clients. The celebrity trainers are bringing their hour-long boot camp to Houstonians who want to train like their favorite athletes, and all participants are eligible to win prizes including a 60-minute massage at the hotel's renowned spa. Tickets are $50.

MODChic Grand Opening

When: Saturday, August 17; 6–10 p.m.
Where: 16049 City Walk, Sugar Land
What: Contemporary women's ready-to-wear MODChic Couture opens a Sugar Land boutique this weekend and is offering half-off select pieces to celebrate, plus a style presentation and light refreshments. Expect bold colors and funky prints—new designs promise to be "fierce, yet subtle."

An Evening of Style

When: Monday, August 19; 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Where: Saks Fifth Avenue, The Galleria
What: Okay, it's not technically the weekend, but can't we pretend for a good cause? Join Career Gear Houston—the local nonprofit that helps outfit men in need with professional attire—and stylist Remy Toh in the Saks' men's department for a summer social. Shop the latest trends and enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres; Saks will donate 10 percent of event sales (up to $1,000) to Career Gear. RSVP to [email protected]
