THE TO-DOUX LIST is lifestyle editor Abby Ledoux’s weekly roundup of pop-ups, markets, and whatever else she feels like doing around Houston each Friday–Sunday (generally). To submit an event for consideration, email details to [email protected]

BLCK Market

When: Friday, Jan. 3; 6–10 p.m.
Where: Buffalo Soldier National Museum, 3816 Caroline St.
What: Every first Friday of the month, head to the Buffalo Soldier Museum for an interactive night market of more than 50 black-owned small businesses. This month's vendor lineup includes deluxe funnel cakes, handmade apparel, vegan sauces, and more.

Four-legged friends can celebrate the New Year in style, too.

Gatsby Pet Photography

When: Saturday, Jan. 4; noon–5 p.m.
Where: The Powder Keg, 1300 Brittmoore Rd.
What: If your dachshund is a Daisy Buchanan at heart, there's no better way to celebrate the second coming of the roaring '20s than with this Great Gatsby-themed pet photoshoot. The black-tie affair includes a classy backdrop with props and treats for your dapper dogs, who are strongly encouraged to come dressed to impress for their portraits ($20) which will be delivered same-day.

The Social Market

When: Saturday, Jan. 4; 4–9 p.m.
Where: Social Beer Garden HTX, 3101 San Jacinto St.
What: Another monthly market, this time on a patio in the heart of Midtown at this kid- and pet-friendly bar. Come for the artisan vendors (that Christmas money tho) and food trucks, stay for the beer (or at least the highly 'grammable murals).

Free Yoga Sundays

When: Sunday, Jan. 5; 10 a.m.
Where: Pitch 25, 2120 Walker St.
What: Exactly what it sounds like: free yoga on the indoor soccer field at this EaDo beer emporium from ex-Dynamo Brian Cheng, located catty-corner to BBVA Compass Stadium, naturally. Stick around post-savanasa for brunch and games—maybe you'll even make new friends. 2020 goals.

Hip Hop Vintage Flea Market

When: Sunday, Jan. 5; noon–5 p.m.
Where: 2011 Leeland St.
What: Cap your weekend with the illest monthly pop-up in town, featuring more than 40 vendors of art, collectibles, music, streetwear, vintage clothing, and more, plus—duh—hip hop: live music, throwback jams, battles, and more. The whole family, pets included, is welcome, and if you don't know, now you know.
