Just What the Doctor Ordered

Meet the Cosmetic Concierge Service Bringing Botox to Your Door

The newly founded, Houston-based Sleeq offers aesthetic procedures and products on-demand.

With Sleeq, medical professionals bring cosmetic procedures to your home.

At-home lip injections, anyone? Yes, you read that right. It’s 2020, folks; if you can get your groceries delivered, why shouldn't you be able to get your fillers or Botox administered in the quiet comfort of your own home? That's the thinking behind Sleeq Mobile Aesthetics, the brainchild of two Houston obstetrics and gynecology specialists, Dr. Lisa Beard and Dr. Ryan Steward.

Founded just last month, the all-new, concierge-style cosmetic service delivers a variety of aesthetic treatments, including neuromodulators (Botox), dermal fillers, chemical peels, and microneedling—all on-demand. “House calls,” as Sleeq has dubbed them, can be scheduled day or night, seven days a week—basically, whenever you want.

“As doctors who specialize in obstetrics, gynecology, and infertility, Lisa and I realized how many women routinely seek aesthetic treatments,” Steward says. “When we researched the cosmetic medicine industry, we noticed that it was often lacking in direct physician oversight and saw an opportunity to establish a convenient, high-end service involving uniquely qualified, mid-level clinicians.”

The Sleeq squad arrives with a gold case containing your desired treatment, a spa chair, and a light.

The house calls are fairly straightforward: Book an appointment online, then, at your scheduled time, the “injectors”—Beard, Steward, or one of their four nurse practitioners—arrive at your home or office with a gold case containing your desired treatment, a white spa chair, and a ring light stand.

Sleeq is poised to stand out from a crowded field thanks to that convenience and guarantee of privacy. When traveling to a client, the Sleeq fleet is pretty discreet—no plumped-up lips on the side of its van or flashy decals that scream “Botox-mobile.” Rather, it’s all quite subtle—elegant, even—and that was the owners' intention.

Still, others prefer company, and Beard says some clients will gather friends and choose treatments together.

“It is our priority to service our patients in the most effective and safe way possible while also delivering a bit of luxury to their doorstep,” Beard adds. “We’re excited to see our mission of empowering others become a reality.”

Both Beard and Steward are well-decorated physicians. Beard was recently elected as the medical staff president at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, and Texas Monthly named her a “Texas Super Doctor Rising Star” from 2012 to 2017. Steward has twice been awarded the “Outstanding Resident in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility” from the University of Texas Medical School.

Sleeq didn’t disclose exact figures but says its prices are competitive and comparable to other area businesses. They also offer memberships and bundled sessions to make treatments less expensive.

“We hope that our patients’ day-to-day lives get a little easier,” Steward says. “We hope they can get excited about something a bit different, fun, and definitely unique.”

Sleeq currently operates within Houston, The Woodlands, and Katy.
