Houston women are no strangers to changing the world, and if they’re going to keep making history, they may as well be in their best outfit; that’s where the Eastside Market Outdoor Pop-up event comes in.
After the massive success of its first Eastside Market last January, Très Chic in Upper Kirby is bringing the event back, with a twist. This Saturday, March 6, the mother-and-daughter run Kirby boutique is hosting over a dozen of Houston’s female-owned boutiques and shops in their parking lot for a day of shopping, food, and drinks in honor of Women’s History Month—you’re bound to be dressing for success after you visit.
Sip on a frozen margarita (or two) from Bovine & Barley’s “Adult Ice Cream Truck” while picking out a get-up for your next Zoom meeting, job interview, or Girls’ Night Out. Some Houstonia favorites will even be there. You'll find sophisticated wares from Houston boutique chain French Cuff, and the funky, southwestern-chic goods of Abejas, but we can’t forget about all the other stores coming, like Alchemia and Christina Greene Jewelry, either. Check out the full list of shops in advance, so you’ll have plenty of time to stop at every vendor.
Last, here are some parting words relevant for both this pop-up market and Women’s History Month from fashion designer Anne Klein: “Clothes aren’t going to change the world, the women who wear them will.”
9 a.m. to 5 a.m. March 6. Free. 3414 Eastside St. More information at treschichouston.com.
