Before Houston's self-proclaimed Hot Girl Coach can get to doing, well, "hot girl sh*t," she's hitting the books.

As a brand ambassador for Coach, Megan participated in episode six of Coach Conversationsa Youtube series about culture, community, and creativity. The episode is a part of a week's worth of initiatives for Coach Foundation’s Dream It Real program. The program is a "global effort to help break cycles of inequality by empowering the next generation to reach their full potential through higher education," according to a press release.

Each episode in the Coach Conversations series is released to mark such moments as Black History Month and Pride, among others.

In episode six, the Grammy Award-winning artist spoke with Radio Hall of Fame 2020 inductee, Angie Martinez about higher education, balancing college and career, and lessons she's learned inside and outside the classroom.

“I have been in college for probably about seven years. When I finally get that degree in my hands, I’m gonna burst out crying because I can’t believe I made it,” said Megan. “It’s just gonna show me that whatever I put my mind to, I can do it.”

In an exclusive clip, Megan tells Martinez how her grandmother asked her, if she would either do "music or school," and how we should "normalize a bad progress report here and there cause we won't always hit it on the first try."

Megan also tells Martinez about how school hasn't always been the easiest for her.

"I'm in the classroom looking at everyone throw their hands up in the air when the professor asks a question and I'm really just at my desk like wow," Megan explains laughingly. "What do y'all know that I don't? What book are y'all reading?"

The Houston natives episode closes out a week of initiatives tied to Coach Foundation’s Dream It Real program for the brand’s first-ever Dream Week. Along with the release of the new episode, Megan also graced the cover of Essence Magazine.
