Tapas On The Trail returns to the Houston Arboretum on February 14.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, but if you want to celebrate early, the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center will once again open up for its popular Tapas on the Trails event on Friday, February 9 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, February 10, from 5 to 9 p.m.

The evening includes a romantic, softly-lit stroll through the Arboretum’s nature sanctuary with tapas stations situated along the way. Spanish-inspired eats will include charcuterie, tortilla espanola with toasted almond and vinaigrette salad, and a choice of chorizo, chicken, or vegetarian paella. And there will be wine and beer pairings at each station as well— guests also get a commemorative glass to take home.

The nature sanctuary will be softly lit by candles.

The evening begins at the meadow and ends at the Nature Center, where guests can partake in sparkling wine and desserts, a coffee and espresso bar, and a special guest appearance by a live owl.

The event's partners include Green House Catering, Whole Foods Market, Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Double Decanted and Katz Coffee.

Tickets are available for members and non-members ranging from $75 to $85, available at

Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, 4501 Woodway St. Note for attendees: The Woodway entry is temporarily closed, so enter from the Loop 610 feeder just south of Woodway.
