Memorial Park Wants To Know How Much You Like It

The best time of day? Seymour Lieberman trail time.
Now is your chance, park lovers of Houston. Memorial Park Conservancy is asking the community to participate in its online survey, Your Memorial Park, until Dec. 31. This is your chance to share vital intel about your experiences in the park. The conservancy will then take a look at all the results to determine what the public likes, wants and needs in the future.
Years back, there was a robust public input process that helped shaped the park's Master Plan, which Houston City Council unanimously passed in 2015. Since then, the Master Plan has put the park to work improving its ecological systems— a return to savannah, prairie and wetland habitats— and resiliency. And there's also lots of projects in the works—to reconnect land, waterways, trails, and people, enhance amenities and so much more. We're particularly delighted with the Eastern Glades work and the Arboretum's new master plan, which has added great facilities, trails and native growth to one of Houston's most peaceful retreats.
So what do you love about it? Memorial Park hopes you and the rest of its 4 million annual visitors will continue the conversation to help shape the future of the park.
Head to memorialparkconservancy.org. Click on “Take our survey” at the top right-hand corner of the homepage and answer the questions. We sure did (it only takes a few minutes) and we'll see you on the running trail, folks.
