Date night just got better

Picnic All Summer Long at the Houston Arboretum

The nature center is offering Saturday evening picnic baskets through August.

It’s time for summer date nights, and while we appreciate a sweet treat, we love a good picnic even more. And the Houston Arboretum is all set to play Cupid.

For the next eight weeks, the Arboretum is hosting Superfine Summer Picnics on Saturday nights. From 6:30–8:30 p.m., you can enjoy the evening breeze and respite from the Texas heat among the Arboretum’s trees. Or go sit by the pond and watch the sunset (how *romantic*).

Picnic baskets are premade—choose between a charcuterie or sandwich basket from A Bayou City Picnic or a vegetarian option—and include enough food for two to four people (double date, anyone?) For the 21-and-up couples, baskets also come with a 12-pack of Superfine seltzers from Saint Arnold Brewing Company.

Pick up your baskets from the Event Lawn near the Woodway Entrance, and when all is said and eaten up, just return your basket where you got it.

Admission is $65 for Arboretum members and $75 for nonmembers. Reserve your basket by the Wednesday before.

Just don’t forget to bring the bug spray.

6:30–8:30 p.m. July 10–Aug 28. From $65. 4501 Woodway Dr. Learn more and register your spot here.
