More eating, drinking, and singing along to that favorite song.

Less than a year after opening its doors in EaDo, Texas-themed restaurant, beer garden and music venue The Rustic is opening a second location in Uptown Park.

You're not dreaming: You've heard a lot lately about Uptown Park. Development there has included the arrival of the second Mendocino Farms, health-forward Arizona-based concept Flower Child, and the newly renovated Uptown Sushi. And now with The Rustic's arrival—ground will be broken Aug. 1 and opening is anticipated for February (a quick turnaround)—the district's puzzle will be complete.

This Uptown Park location of The Rustic is aiming to have the largest tequila list in the city, plus a prime steak program. Also, like the EaDo version, this Rustic promises live music every day (one of its partners is Texas country music legend Pat Green). It'll be the fourth Rustic overall (the original in Dallas, a second in San Antonio).

Looks like we have another cheesesteak to try. Antone's Tex-Mex Cheesesteak was named one of the best sandwiches in America by trade publication Restaurant Hospitality. The sandwich has thin-sliced sirloin, bell peppers, banana peppers, jalapeños, onions, pepperjack cheese, and chipotle mayo, and is served on po'boy bread.

H-E-B has named five Houston-area finalists who will compete for the grand prize in the annual H-E-B Primo Picks Quest for Texas Best, a competition where the winner (in a statewide battle) will win $70,000 and shelf space at H-E-Bs across the country. The local finalists are Sir Winston's Spiced Simple Syrup of Statesman Beverage Co. of Houston, TIDBITS Fun Bites of Sanette Foods of Oak Ridge North, Single Serve Coffee from Primos Coffee Co. of Baytown, Diablo Verde of 3 Sons Foods of Houston, and Noah's Naughty Ramen Cups of Naughty Noah's Vietnamese of Houston. They'll showcase their products, along with finalists from other regions of Texas, on Aug. 7-8 before a panel of judges at the Houston Food Bank.

Porterhouse for two at Davis St. at Hermann Park.

Davis St. at Hermann Park is coming back. The restaurant that anchored the Mosaic high-rise across from Hermann Park, and closed back in 2017, will reopen this fall with a familiar face behind the pass. Chef Mark Holley, formerly of Holley's Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar, will lead the kitchen. Look for dishes that were on previous Davis St. menus (crispy Thai shrimp, banana foster pancakes at brunch), plus big-ticket items like seafood towers and a porterhouse for two. Also, Holley promises to bring to the concept a Sunday supper format. A renovation is being done in the spot, as Davis St. promises to have "Instagrammable" cachet, from a verdant patio to a veranda.

Your Pie Pizza has opened its second Houston-area location at 13126 FM 1960 West Road in Cypress. The brick-oven chain out of Athens, Georgia (home of REM and the B-52s) is known for a customizable pie experience. 

More Cypress news: Lazy Dog, a Southern California chain known for American comfort food inside a dining room resembling a Rocky Mountain lodge, is opening Tuesday at 20030 Northwest Fwy. Look for campfire pot roast, bacon-wrapped bison meatloaf, and wok-fired calamari on the menu, plus a dog-friendly patio for enjoying the meal.
