This Old Masters Emoji Set is Everything

Cellphone users have one more excuse not to use their words. With the newest iOS update for the iPhone, texts now include special effects, like falling confetti, and digital “stickers packs,” which are new and improved emojis.

Fine art lovers won't be left in the dust of snarky cats and super sloths. Writer and artist Molly Young, along with Teddy Blanks of New York-based design studio CHIPS, created an assortment of scowling and brooding historical emojis, called Rejoinders for $0.99, based on paintings by great Dutch masters, including Rembrandt van Rijn and Jacob Cornelisz van Oostsanen.

And fear not, Houstonians. Design firm Primer Grey created Houston-themed emoji—appropriately dubbed Houmoji—that includes iconic staples like the Astrodome and Shipley Do-Nuts, perfect for Sunday morning hints.
