Chris Stapleton, Alan Jackson and More Rodeo Concerts to Catch This Week (March 7–12)

The first week of Rodeo Houston sounds pretty darn good.

By Jeanne Lyons Davis March 6, 2017

After dusting off your boots, hear the best country and pop singers take the stage and close the renowned rodeo with star-studded performances every night. Here's five acts we can't wait to see this week. (Looking at you, Alan Jackson!)

Aaron Watson

Tuesday, March 7

The Amarillo-born crooner landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart in 2015 (without a record label!) with his album, rightfully titled, The Underdog. Hear the Texan perform old favorites, like "That Look," and new tunes from his latest album, Vaquero.

Chris Stapleton

Thursday, March 9

After years of penning hit songs for country music greats like George Strait and Luke Bryan (not to mention soul icon Adele), Chris Stapleton brought the genre back to its roots with hits like "Fire Away" and "Parachute." His "Tennessee Whiskey" duet with Justin Timberlake at the 2015 CMA Awards brought celebrities to their feet. No doubt his Houston performance will do the same.

Alicia Keys

Friday, March 10

The celebrated artist and host of NBC's The Voice brings her soulful R&B ballads and pop hits to the Bayou City. From "Girl on Fire," "In Common" and "A Woman's Worth," Houston better buckle up for a great performance from the dynamic singer, songwriter and pianist.

Alan Jackson

Saturday, March 11

Marking his 23rd performance at the Houston Rodeo, the Grammy, CMA and ACM award winner brings three decades worth of chart toppers, including "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," "Chattahoochee" and "Where Were You" back to town.

The Chainsmokers

Sunday, March 12

If you missed the DJ duo's performance at Club Nomadic's Super Bowl Bash this February, fear not: Alex Pall and Drew Taggart are back in the Bayou City to perform radio anthems "Closer" and "Don't Let Me Down."
