Girl In A Coma with Wild Moccasins and Fight Me!

With a name inspired by the Smiths' "Girlfriend in a Coma," this San Antonio-based girl group brings their guitar-centric sound to White Oak Music Hall, along with Houston indie pop favorites Wild Moccasins. Fight Me!, a poseur rock group that just released their first single, will round out the evening's bill.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets In Concert

The Houston Symphony will perform John Williams' iconic score live to accompany a screening of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, aka the one with the flying car and big snake that kills people with its eyes.

Traci and Tony’s Unusual New Year’s Eve

This Cyndi Lauper-inspired rock opera promises to impress "anyone who’s ever been disappointed by New Year’s Eve." In an evening that appears to be equal parts theater and concert, a crew of musicians will follow the lead of writer/performer Traci Lavois Thiebaud and composer Anthony Barilla as they ring in the New Year as part of Rec Room's regular immersive, interactive programming.

Numbers New Year's Eve

Ring in 2018 at this Montrose mainstay, with this installment marking the 40th year of Numbers New Year's Eve.
