Marshaling more than 7,000 bottles of wine and pastries derived from more than 1,200 pounds of butter, Montrose's autumnal Greek-pocalypse is a guaranteed good time. Just make sure to stay for the dancers.

Karbachtoberfest
Thru Oct. 6 | Karbach Brewing Co.
We're about at peak Oktoberfest this weekend (with festivities at St. Arnold's, King's, etc.). The Karbach edition furnishes an alchemical mix of wiener dog races (!!) and live oompa music, which is enough to get our endorsement.
Free. Karbach, 2032 Karbach St. More info at karbachbrewing.com.
Lizzo
Oct. 4 | Revention Music Center
The relentless ex-Houstonian artist has skyrocketed to the top of the charts and our hearts, gracing Absolut commercials, Fresh Air interviews, and, most recently, an amazing Aristocats dub of her double-platinum single, "Truth Hurts." This Friday, she's back in town twerking and fluting for a sold-out crowd; fire up StubHub and join in while you still can.
Tickets sold-out (aftermarket starting around $90). Revention Music Center, 520 Texas Ave. 713-230-1600. More info and tickets at ticketmaster.com.
Vietgone
Oct. 4–Nov. 3 | Alley Theatre
Playwright Qui Nguyen sprinkles ninja fights, rap battles, and plenty of profanity into this semiautobiographical sex comedy from 2016, which explores the lives of Vietnam War refugees struggling in 1970s America.
Tickets from $47. Alley Theatre, 615 Texas Ave. 713-220-5700. More info and tickets at alleytheatre.org.
14th Annual Houston Heights Bicycle Rally & Scavenger Hunt

A genteel Critical Mass Alternative for the whole family, riders choose between a 15- or 3-mile self-paced route winding its way through the Heights, with a number of stops at various businesses along the way that culminate with prizes. Best of all: Free Bcycle rentals will be available at the starting point.
