We're about at peak Oktoberfest this weekend (with festivities at St. Arnold's, King's, etc.). The Karbach edition furnishes an alchemical mix of wiener dog races (!!) and live oompa music, which is enough to get our endorsement.

The relentless ex-Houstonian artist has skyrocketed to the top of the charts and our hearts, gracing Absolut commercials, Fresh Air interviews, and, most recently, an amazing Aristocats dub of her double-platinum single, "Truth Hurts." This Friday, she's back in town twerking and fluting for a sold-out crowd; fire up StubHub and join in while you still can.

14th Annual Houston Heights Bicycle Rally & Scavenger Hunt
