Houston hotties rolled up hard. In case you spent yesterday under a rock, Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion turned the internet upside down when they released an insane remix of Stallion’s Suga EP single “Savage.” The new collab dropped on Tidal Wednesday afternoon, shot up to #1 on the Apple Music charts, and promptly broke the internet. Like, even Mayor Sylvester Turner tweeted about it.
Queen Bey once again shows off her own masterful rapping chops in two slick verses on remix of single that reference TikTok—where the original “Savage” blew up thanks to a dance challenge—OnlyFans, her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and, of course, H-Town.

Fans have been praying for a potential team up between the two Houston natives since Stallion announced she had signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation back in September, a move that was soon followed by her sharing a photo of herself with Queen Bey and her daughter Blue Ivy on Instagram. Of course, the collaboration means even more to Stallion herself.

“I feel like it’s really big thing for the city, it’s a really big thing for the Southside,” Stallion said during an emotional Instagram Live, where she talked about working with Beyoncé and her late mother’s love of the Sasha Fierce singer. “Which bitch you know from Houston, Texas, from the motherf*ckin’ Southside really doin’ shit like that?”

Awww, Meg! If that’s not enough to make your Houston heart flutter for these Hustletown heroes, both artists are donating all proceeds from the remix to Houston’s Bread of Life, Inc., which has been distributing food to local families during the pandemic. The move follows a previous announcement that Beyonce’s BEYGOOD Foundation would be making donations to several charities across the country, including Union Memorial Medical Center, NAMI Greater Houston, and Pearland-based Día de la Mujer Latina.

And in case you’re wondering, the new Savage remix already has a dance challenge.
