Easter Eggs and Food Trucks

Let someone else do the cooking and the Easter Egg hiding this year.

Maybe you (like me) forgot that this Sunday is Easter. Maybe you didn't buy a bunch of plastic eggs and candy to shove inside them. Maybe you just don't have time for that. Or maybe you (again, like me) would rather other people do the hard work of cooking and hiding Easter Eggs. Man, it's a good thing I don't have kids...

If any of these ring true, you'll want to head out to My Food Park HTX tomorrow for a pre-Easter Easter celebration. The food truck park on Highway 6 just south of Katy Freeway is throwing an Easter party with something for everyone—especially the little ones.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rotating selection of food trucks throughout the day. Starting at 2:30 p.m., the food truck park will host an Easter Egg hunt, and I couldn't think of a better spot for a hunt to take place than the tree-shaded, three-acre park.

In addition, look for live music from noon to 3 p.m., a hula hoop contest, a bouncy house, and a movie when the sun goes down. My Food Park HTX is screening Frozen at 7:30 p.m., so you and the kids can stay all afternoon long (if the bouncy house and Easter Egg hunt don't wear you out first).

Food trucks in tomorrow's lineup include: Taco Nuts, Blaze It Up, Reigns, L'es Baget, Off the Hook, Skratch Food Truck, and the Swallowing It Latin Style truck. Pro tip: do not Google "Swallowing It Latin Style" without SafeSearch on. The results do not a happy Easter make.
