Take a Bloody Mary Stroll This Sunday

Sample your way through some of the city's best bloody marys and brunch bites at GreenStreet

By Katharine Shilcutt October 8, 2014

Instead of trying to decide which restaurant to hit for a bloody mary this Sunday morning, do the smart thing: hit a dozen at once and really kick that hangover in the throat with our Sunday Bloody Sunday event.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., we'll be serving up unlimited bloody marys and brunchable bites at GreenStreet (neé Houston Pavilions) for only $25. In addition to the House of Blues Gospel Choir roaming around the newly landscaped outdoor mall and waking up guests with spirited renditions of "Balm in Gilead" (I'm just guessing here, but I'm hoping they sing "Balm of Gilead"—it's the perfect hangover analogy), you'll be able to sample food and booze from the following restaurants, as well as vote for your favorite bloody mary:

  • Andalucia
  • Batanga
  • Beaver's
  • Brick & Spoon
  • El Big Bad
  • Hearsay on the Green
  • House of Blues
  • The Houston Club
  • Line & Lariat
  • Lowbrow
  • Lucky Strike
  • McCormick & Schmick's
  • Mia Bella
  • Quattro at the Four Seasons
  • Ragin' Cajun

It should be noted that for those who—like me until I was 25 years old—hate bloody marys, we'll have other cocktails courtesy of Deep Eddy Vodka. Just because you hate tomato juice doesn't mean you should get left out of the mix (though, really, you should try some low-sodium V8; it's life-changing). And after a few cocktails, we encourage you to head over to our yard games area and toss beanbags until you sober back up again.

Tickets are on sale now, though they're going fast. We'll see you Sunday!
